Hellmouth?
I'm on a healthy diet of Irvine Welsh and Germaine Greer these days. There was a lot of furor and flapping of feathers (like cockatoos in the Botanical Garden) over this dame's latest tome when I was in Sydney in October. (Although Oxford educated, Greer is Australian). I've just started it. So far, there's a whole lot about Italian art ... feels a bit like I'm art history class back at UNR. One of my roomies flipped thru it yesterday. He wanted to know if there was porn, endless shots of boy's weenies. There's actually only a few. But then it doesn't take much to set off the He-Man-Latently-Homosexual-and-Overtly-Misogynist-Aussie Bloke. Just finished Welsh's book. It's not as good as "Filth" but a fine follow-up to "Trainspotting." He's even got a camp/fake website set up to go along with the plot. Click his name above to visit it. On that note, a pic. Is it the mouth of Hell? A volcano? The End Days? Naw, is jus' ma' firepleece ya bleedin' useless git! -- Mz M.
